LaMOURE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Every 12.3 minutes someone in the United States loses their battle with suicide.

Zoar Church’s Lutheran Youth Organization (LYO) invites everyone you know to attend a special presentation on mental health and suicide awareness on Wednesday, April 26 at the LaMoure School gym beginning at 6:30 pm.

LYO, wanting to find a way to special way to remember one of their own youth group members who died by suicide, booked Sam Eaton to give a powerful presentation in their community. Sam has shared his story at over 150 events across the United States in front of over 100,000 people. He has equipped and empowered communities to have real conversations about mental health, depression, and suicide. Sam is a writer of a #1 Amazon Best-Seller book entitled Recklessly Alive: What My Suicide Attempt Taught Me About God and Living Life to the Fullest. He is also the founder of Recklessly Alive, a suicide prevention organization sprinting towards a world with zero deaths from suicide. Sam will share warning signs, resources for health, and how we as a community can help those struggling in the dark.

This presentation is free of charge and open to all ages. You are encouraged to bring a guest. You never know who might be suffering in silence.

This event is being funded by the Mike and Elaine Moser family of LaMoure in memory of those who have lost their battle with suicide and to do what they can to help prevent another tragedy.

Following the presentation, there will be an opportunity for prayer at Zoar Church (421 3rd St SE in LaMoure) for anyone interested.
