Walters is headed to Laramie, Wyoming for his fifth year of eligibility and will play for head coach Jeff Linder and the Wyoming Cowboys.
During his Jimmie career, Walters posted 70 career double-doubles, had 26 games with at least 30 points, and finished his career with 75 consecutive games scoring 10+ points. 2019 Mr. Basketball in North Dakota scored 20+ points in 30 of 34 games during his senior season at UJ.

The Cowboys went 9-22 a season ago, finishing 11th in the Mountain West after making the NCAA tournament the year before. Walters will try to help guide Wyoming to its first Mountain West regular season title since 2002, which was the last time the Cowboys won a tournament game.
