VALLEY CITY, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – Nine players from Jamestown, Valley City, Oakes, and LaMoure have been named to the 2023 Shrine Bowl, as voted on by the states’ football coaches.

Ethan Gall, Payton Hochhalter, and Jackson Walters will represent the back-to-back champions of 11A football in Jamestown. Broden Muske and Gavin Gerhardt have been selected as representatives of the Hi-Liners, along with Noah Sundby of Oakes. The three Blue Jays will play for the 11-man West team while Muske, Gerhardt, and Sundby will play for the 11-man East team.

Brock Wendel, Garrett Hebl, and Colton Ness were selected from LaMoure-Litchville/Marion. Those three Loboes represent the 9-man East team.

Players will report for practice on Tuesday, June 20th and the game will be played on Saturday, June 24th. The 11-man game is scheduled for 4:00 pm and the 9-man game for 7:00 pm.  All practices and games will take place on the campus of Mayville State University.
