From Jimmie Athletics

VERMILLION, S.D.– Jordynn Toliver set a new Jimmie record in the heptathlon at the University of South Dakota Early Bird Invite, which concluded on Saturday.

RESULTS

Toliver’s total of 4784 points beat her previous record of 4729, set at the 2022 NAIA Outdoor Championships. Her score currently leads the NAIA this season. She won the javelin, took third in the high jump, and was fourth in both the 800 and 100 hurdles. Overall Toliver was third of 19 competitors.

Toliver was the only athlete to finish in the top 10 for UJ, but Makenzie Gibson (hammer), Heather Okeson (hammer), and Jennifer Tallackson (1500) all had personal best performances.

Next up for UJ is the Sioux City Relays in Sioux City, Iowa, on April 14-15.
