(NewsDakota.com) – The late-season blizzard that has shut the area down for the better part of the last 3 days has finally left, and it packed a punch.
Snowfall totals from around the region include… 12 inches in Jamestown and LaMoure, 10 inches in Ellendale, 8 inches in Kulm, Steele reported 6 inches and Pingree reported 5 and a half inches. The highest amount of snow for the region fell in Ashley according to the National Weather Service, which reported 14 and a half inches.
Many roads are still closed in the area and will remain closed until plows can get them all opened up. Authorities are advising NO TRAVEL in the area so that plows can open up the roads.
