CASS COUNTY, N.D. (CCSO) – Shortly before 6:30 p.m. yesterday, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, along with multiple fire and EMS units, responded to a residential structure fire in the 800 block of 88th Ave So. in rural South Fargo. The fire was contained to the lower kitchen area of the residence; however, there was widespread smoke damage throughout the entire home.
The homeowners were home at the time of the fire. At the time of this release, there are no injuries reported to first responders or those who reside inside the residence. Unfortunately, it was reported that thirteen (13) cats perished in the fire.
The cause of the fire is undetermined and the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, along with the State Fire Marshal’s Office, will continue to investigate the incident. No further information is available at this time.
