The Jamestown fell to Presentation College 8-2 but bounced back with a 10-3 victory in a Wednesday doubleheader.
The Saints built a 5-0 lead after two innings when Jamestown got on the board off a double steal. Gentry Turin scored after getting on with a double. Trinity Gregg scored on an error for the Jimmies’ final run.
Sunny Halsey took the loss for UJ, giving up five runs in 1 1/3 innings.
The back half of the doubleheader was knotted up at 3-3 and Jamestown closed the game out with seven runs.
Gracie Fisher singled home Samarah Martinez for the go-ahead run. Megan Neiles ripped a two-run double and Trinity Gregg hit a bases-clearing triple to help extend the lead. Jamestown had 14 hits in the game, with Gregg going 3-for-5 at the plate.
Halsey grabbed the win in the circle, striking out three over two innings of work. Abby Blair started and went five innings, giving up two earned runs on six hits in five innings.
Jamestown is 13-11 and heads to Aberdeen as the home team against Briar Cliff University for a doubleheader Saturday at 4 p.m.
