VALLEY CITY, ND  (NewsDakota.com)–Hi-Liner gymnast Karina Olson won a spot on the North Dakota All-State Gymnastics team, released Monday.

Olson won the all-around state championship at the state meet in February, the only gymnast in the state to crack 38 all-around, scoring 38.017.   She had the top individual score on the beam, and was second on the bars and floor exercise.

Voters chose Jamestown’s Emma Hillerud for their Senior Athlete of the Year.  Hillerud finished eighth all-around at state, and quarterbacked a runner-up team finish for the Blue Jays.
