JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – On Friday, police conducted a sex offender registration on Brian Sternberg, a high-risk sex offender living in Jamestown.
Sternberg had recently become a resident in Jamestown, had changed his address, and became homeless, requiring him to register 4 times. Police conducted an investigation to see that Sternberg was fulfilling his requirements for registration. Police allege that he had been living at a residence and hiding the address from officers, which is a violation of the law.
Sternberg was arrested on suspicion of failure to register as a sex offender and providing false information to a law enforcement officer. He was taken to Stutsman County Corrections to await formal charges.
