Angela Lynn Reidburn, age 43, passed away in her home March 3rd, 2023. Angela had a long battle with addiction, and was a cancer warrior, yet never wanted to be defined only by her addiction…she was a beautiful, intelligent person who fell into its grip, yet offered love and light to so many. She walked so lightly she barely touched the ground.
Angela grew up in Jamestown ND. She graduated High School in 1998 from Jamestown High School, where she loved playing soccer, and will forever be a Blue Jay. Her fierce determination led her back to college later in life, where she graduated from Jamestown College, with a degree in Addiction Counseling. She went on to practice in the field, breaking barriers against the stigma of addiction, and positively impacting so many lives, as she helped others through some of their own darkest days.
Angela had a big heart, full of compassion. She had a great love for many, especially her family. Although the biggest love in her world was her son Beckett, who provided her with her biggest purpose in life. Nine-year-old Beckett says, he would like people to know, “how pretty she is, how sweet she is, and he loves her so much”.
She had a passion for her AA family, health and fitness, and an immense love for animals. Angela believed strongly in second chances, maybe because she craved another chance for herself and other addicts. The best way to honor Angela, is for people who read this, or who knew her, to think twice before making judgement on the struggles of addiction. She was a fierce heart, with a bright future and a gift that the world lost and can never be replaced. She is at peace now, she is so loved, and will forever remain in our hearts!
She is survived by her mother, Kathy Kvislen; father, Steven Reidburn; sister, Amy (Kevin) Walker; co-parent, James Ludwig; son, Beckett Ludwig; nephew, Westin Walker; niece, Peighton Walker; several aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous close friends.
A service will be held at United Presbyterian Church, 302 2nd Ave SE, Jamestown ND, Monday March 13th at 1:00 p.m.
Donations are welcome, in her honor, through James River Human Society, PO Box 636, Jamestown, ND 58402, or Prairie Paws, PO Box 1114, Jamestown, ND 58402.
