JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Authorities responded to Jamestown High School shortly after 10 am Thursday morning after a caller threatened to harm students on campus.
The call came in on a Jamestown Police Department administrative line and was answered by Major Justin Blinsky. The male caller said he was the shooter.
According to Blinsky, the student resource officer was in the high school at the time of the threatening call. Jamestown Police, ND Highway Patrol, and the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department to the high school.
Students were sheltered in place at all schools in Jamestown until authorities were able to secure the high school.
An all-clear was called within ten minutes of the original call.
There have been hoax calls reported in several states including Minnesota, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nebraska, Colorado, and various districts in North Dakota.
