VALLEY CITY, ND  (NewsDakota.com, photo by Alyssa Thomsen)  Hi-Liner gymnast Karina Olson won the state all-around gymnastics title during the individual portion of the North Dakota state gymnastics meet Saturday in Jamestown.

Olson won the balance beam event with a 9.450, finished runner-up on the floor exercise with a 9.687, finishing .013 behind the eventual champion, runner-up on the bars, and sixth on the vault.  Her combined score placed her first in the all-around by more than a half-point over the competition.

Olson’s all-around score of 38.017 was the only all-around score to break 38 on the day.

Jessica Ranisate also competed individually for the Hi-Liners, finishing with a top-30 performance on the vault.
