legislative-informational-session

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Approximately 50 people attended a non-partisan, public informational session on Saturday, February 11th for citizens who are interested in what is going on in the current legislative session, according to event organizer Madeline Luke.

Luke said all three District 24 legislators were invited to present information and answer questions at the session, but
none chose to attend.

She said the meeting was organized because it is important for constituents to know what is being done on their behalf by their elected representatives. At the meeting, Luke presented a listing of the bills each legislator has sponsored or co-sponsored (with a short description of each), as well as a listing of committee and floor votes to date.

Luke also presented an informal tutorial on how to find various information about bills via the North Dakota legislative website www.ndlegis.gov

A second session will be held Monday, February 27th at 7 pm in the Valley City High School cafeteria to review active bill after crossover. Use W3 Door on the west side of the High School building in Valley City.

Luke said all three District 24 legislators have been invited to attend this public informational session.
