JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Carbon was the topic of discussion at the Evolution Ag Summit held on Tuesday, February 21st in Jamestown.

It was an all-day event with numerous speakers scheduled to discuss carbon, sustainability commitments, supply chains, fuels of the future, and risk-reward in carbon farming.

Dr. Dave Ripplinger of NDSU gave an address titled “Carbon 101”. Ripplinger said it is a very hot topic.

Panelists discussed how the market is driving carbon reduction initiatives. Producers had the chance to give their feedback.

The event was keynoted by “The Millennial Farmer” Zach Johnson. Johnson has his own YouTube channel that has nearly a million followers. He is a fifth-generation farmer that wanted to use the channel to help tell the story of the American farmer.

The event was hosted by the North Dakota Farmers Union.
