JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – A slow proved costly for the #19 UJ women’s basketball team on Tuesday night as the Jimmies fell to (RV) Concordia (NE), 73-67, in the opening round of the Great Plains Athletic Conference postseason tournament.

Full court pressure from CUNE helped the Bulldogs jump out to a 9-2 lead in the opening three minutes of play. Jamestown trailed throughout the entire first half, going into the break behind 40-26. Audrey Rodakowski’s offense kept the Jimmies in the game as she had 11 points.

Jamestown looked like an entirely different team during the second half, picking up full court pressure and knocking down more shots. Sarah Lenz connected on four threes in the second half to get the Jimmies back into the game.

UJ took its first lead with just over seven minutes to play in the fourth quarter on a three from Kate Busek to make it 55-54. The Jimmies held the lead for two minutes of game time before Concordia reclaimed the lead to pull off the upset in the postseason tournament.
