DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The first day of the 2023 Class B Region 4 Girls basketball tournament was held Monday at the Devils Lake Sports Center, all the higher seeds advance to Tuesdays semifinal round, here are the results:

Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich 58  North Star 18

Four Winds/Minnewaukan 57  St. John 45

North Prairie 63  Harvey/Wells County 38

New Rockford/Sheyenne 56  Benson County 34

Junior Guard Kelsie Belquist dropped in a game high 22 points to help the number three seeded Rockets defeat the six seeded Wildcats of Benson County in the last game of the day. The game was close for the first nine minutes, then the Rockets took control and led 32-26 at half. NRS outscored BC 13-6 in the third quarter and 11-2 in the fourth quarter, they never trailed in the second half. The Rockets defeat the Wildcats for the second time this season and they end their season at 9-13 overall, NR-S Rockets improve to 16-6 overall.

6PM – RV Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich vs. Four Winds/Minnewaukan (semifinal)

730pm – New Rockford/Sheyenne vs. North Prairie (semifinal)
