Jimmies Record First Shutout with 2-0 Win over No. 13 Lindenwood

The 11th-ranked Jimmie women’s hockey team closed out the regular season with a 2-0 win over No. 13 Lindenwood University Sunday afternoon at Wilson Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Emma Strouse scored her seventh goal of the season at 14:51 of the second period to give the Jimmies a 1-0 lead. Kennedy Hauser and Madison Knudson were credited with the assists.
UJ held on to the one-goal lead until Jaeda Clayton tallied her fourth goal of the year with 38 seconds left, set up by Bethany Wielgosh and Crystal Wale.
Lilah Drew made 26 saves to earn her first career shutout.

JAMESTOWN GAME NOTES

Wale and Wielgosh each recorded their team-leading 12th assist. The two are also tied for the lead in goals with nine.
The Jimmies improved their home record to 3-11, ending an eight-game losing streak at Wilson Arena.

UP NEXT

Jamestown will play in the WMCH tournament February 24-26.
