KANSAS CITY, MO. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown men’s and women’s basketball teams have each moved up in the latest edition of the NAIA basketball polls.

The Jimmie women moved inside the top 25 for the first time this year as Jamestown now sits at #19 in the sixth coaches poll of the year. UJ has a 19-5 overall record and the Jimmies are 14-4 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. Currently, Jamestown is in second place in the conference standings and is riding a seven-game win streak.

The Jimmie men moved up from #11 to #9 in the latest poll, jumping back inside the top 10. Jamestown has won 10 games in a row, now 22-3 overall and 14-3 in the GPAC. UJ has a 2.5 game lead over both Morningside and Dordt in the GPAC standings. With a pair of wins this weekend, the Jimmies can win the conference regular season title outright.

The Jimmies travel to Sioux City, Iowa, Friday and Saturday for doubleheaders against Morningside and Briar Cliff.
