FREMONT, Neb. (jimmiepride.com)– The Jimmie women’s swimning and diving team finished fifth at the KCAC Championships, which wrapped up Saturday evening.
The Jimmies finished the three-day meet with a team score of 290 points, 24 points behind Saint Mary (Kan.) for fourth place, and 44 points ahead of Sterling (Kan.), who finished in sixth.
Jada Shorter won both the 1M and 3M diving competitions. She had 211.00 points in the 1M and 204.85 points in the 3M.
Sulinke Vandenberg was the other medalist for UJ, with her third-place finish in the 200 back.
Twenty-seven new personal best performances were turned in over the weekend, and all ten Jimmie swimmers had at least one new personal best.
A final list of entries for the 2023 NAIA National Championships March 1-4 in Columbus, Ga., will be released this week.
