VALLEY CITY, ND  (NewsDakota.com) Valley City State’s Daevonte Munson has been named the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Player of the Week for his performances last week against Mayville State and Presentation College.

Munson scored 17 points and grabbed five rebounds in a 102-98 in over conference-leading Mayville State Friday night.  He then backed it up with 25 points and 11 rebounds, six of those boards on the offensive glass, in a 90-75 win over Presentation College Saturday afternoon.

Munson is a senior from Roseville, Minnesota.  He leads the Vikings in scoring, averaging 13.6 points this season.  He’s played the second-most minutes of any player on the Vikings roster, and is the Vikings’ third-leading rebounder.
