OAKES, ND (NewsDakota.com) – The #5 Oakes Tornadoes were unable to comeback against the RV Carrington Cardinals falling by a final score of 59-48.

The Cardinals trailed early in the game with the Tornadoes leading 13-12 after the 1st quarter. After that though the Cardinals started to get going. They would drop 3 three-pointers in the 2nd quarter which would propel them to a 32-29 lead at the half.

They wouldn’t look back after that as they would expand the lead a bit further in the 3rd quarter to 45-38. They took advantage of some sloppy play by Oakes with many turnovers and a the Tornadoes unable to put back rebounds.

They 4th quarter saw Carrington limit Oakes to 4 field goals and allowed them to win 59-48.

The Bank North Player of the Game for Oakes was named as Kassidy Jackson for her stellar defense.

The Bank North Player of the Game for Carrington was Edyn Hoornaert who scored 15 points going 6/10 with 2 three pointers.
