JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High School girls’ basketball team picked up its fifth consecutive victory on Tuesday night at Jerry Meyer Arena in a 54-43 win over Saint Mary’s.

Jamestown led at the halftime break by 11 as the Jays’ defense held St. Mary’s in check all night long. Senior Ella Falk helped pace the Blue Jay offense with 10 points in the first half, and Rylee Joseph had six points going into the break.

Jamestown would extend its lead to 21 points with under five minutes to play as the Saints continued to struggle from the floor in the second half. St. Mary’s cut into the Blue Jay deficit late with free throws and a couple of turnovers, but it wasn’t enough to snap Jamestown’s winning streak.

Katie Falk led Jamestown with 14 points, 10 of which came in the second half. Ella Falk added 13 and Joseph finished with nine. Bre Oettle and Teagan Bosche each had 7 points.

Jamestown improves to 7-3 overall, and 6-3 in the West Region with the victory. The Blue Jays welcome in #4 Minot on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 PM. Full coverage can be heard on Jamestown 1071/1400, online at newsdakota.com, or on the Jamestown 107.1 app.
