VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Valley City Junior High held its annual school spelling bee on Thursday, January 12th.

Teacher and student advisor Kristi Shanenko said all junior high students, through their English classes, competed in a 15-question
preliminary round, and the top scorers were invited to the school bee.

She said during the competition at the school bee, the top two places went to (1) Ceanna Walker and (2) Jossi Zahn. Walker and Zahn will now advance to county competition to be held in the Hi Liner Activity Center Lobby on Thursday, February 2 at 1 PM.
