JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Blue Jay boys hockey team busted out of a scoring drought on the home ice Friday night and skated away with a 5-1 West Region victory over Bottineau/Rugby.

Senior Brooks Roaldson snapped in his fifth, sixth and seventh goals of the season to lead the charge. Junior Owen Struble scored his first and Sophomore Jackson Maddock smacked in his second of the season.

Senior Easton Romsdal, Junior Tyson Jorissen and Senior Max Mehus each picked up a pair of assists.

Senior Goalie Andrew Walz came away with 19 saves, as the Jays outshot the Braves 32-20.

Jamestown improves to 4-4 on the season and B/R slips to 2-7.

The Blue Jays will get right back on the ice with a West Region matinee in Dickinson on Saturday, January 7th at 4:00 pm.
