VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City State University (VCSU) President Dr. Alan LaFave said there is a lot of excitement surrounding their $25 million Capital Campaign fundraiser. He said so far, more than $6 million dollars have been pledged.
He said the university is ready to take the next step and start the first phase of the construction project.
The proposed project includes an addition to the W.E. Osmon Fieldhouse as a separate attachment, south of the existing structure.
Other plans include repurposing McCarthy Hall for a VCSU teacher education program, renovation of the Student Center and additional funds for student scholarships.
LaFave said no government funding will be used for this Capital Campaign and donations will only come from private donors. Those interested in making a donation should contact the VCSU Foundation Office.
