ABERDEEN, SD (NewsDakota.com) – The Oakes Tornadoes boys basketball team travelled to Aberdeen, South Dakota  to take on the Roncalli Cavaliers on Saturday December 17th. They would fall by a score of 49-47.

The Tornadoes had a late 47-46 lead late in the game however with under a minute to go the Cavaliers knocked down a 3 to take the lead and steal Oakes’ first win of the season.

The Tornadoes were led by Xavier Vossler who tallied up 15 points going 6/11 from the field, 1/2 from deep, and 2/4 from the charity stripe.

The Tornadoes next play Wyndmere-Lidgerwood on December 20th in Lidgerwood. Coverage on KDDR The Tornado begins at 6:45 p.m. with Tip-Off scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
