VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Law enforcement will bring joy to children and their families during Santa, Cops & Kids.

Valley City Police Lt. Dana Rustebakke said the event helps families who could be going through a financial hardship, a traumatic event or the loss of a loved one. He said during the past few years, the shopping event was postponed due to the pandemic. This year, we are proud to announce that officers will be paired with a child to shop for themselves and their families at Handy Home & Hardware on Monday, December 19th.

Rustebakke said the children and officers will be treated to supper at Pizza Corner in Valley City. After that supper, he said don’t be alarmed if you see several law enforcement vehicles with lights flashing and sirens going down main Monday evening December 19th.

Any individual or businesses who would like to donate to Santa, Cops & Kids, should make checks payable to James/Valley Lodge #4, Attention: Santa, Cops, and Kids. For more details call the Valley City Police Department at 701-845-3110.
