GRAND FORKS, N.D. (NWS) – The National Weather Service (NWS) said a Winter Storm Watch is still in effect for the Red River Valley points westward starting Monday at Midnight. A new Winter Storm Watch was also issued for parts of west central Minnesota.
A winter storm will impact the Northern Plains Monday night through midweek. Heavy snow of 6” or more will occur across large portions of the Northern Plains along with potential ice accumulations at the onset of the event.
Difficult travel conditions due to a combination of impacts including heavy snow are likely within the Dakotas into Minnesota. Blowing snow and drifting snow may cause impacts to linger into late week.
