JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – Williston picked up a 2-1 win over Jamestown in girls hockey on Saturday at Wilson Arena.

Despite being outshot 48-19, the Blue Jays battled to the end.
The Jays lone goal came on a 5 on 3 power play midway through period three when Sophomore Ellie Krueger blasted home a one timer pass from Senior Bernadette Belzer, her third goal of the season. That knotted the game at one.

Williston Junior Jaidyn Nass scored her second goal of the game on a breakaway with 4:21 remaining in the game to snap the tie, and ice the game for the Coyotes.

Blue Jay Junior Goalie Olivia Sorlie made 46 saves in defeat. The Jays fall to 2-4, and Williston improves to 4-1.

The Jays have a week off before traveling to Grand Forks on Saturday, December 17th.
