JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – After three games on the road to start the season, the Blue Jay girls hockey team played its home opener on Friday night at Wilson Arena versus Minot High.

The Magi scored three 2nd period goals and topped Jamestown 3-0, outshooting the Jays 35-19.

Minot standout Junior Goalie Jillian Ackerman came away with her third shutout of the season as the Magicians improve to 3-0-1.

Jamestown slips to 2-2 and received a solid effort in net from Olivia Sorlie, as the Junior Goalie came up with 32 saves.
