Laura Suhr, 87, Page, North Dakota died Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at SMP Health-Maryhill, Enderlin, North Dakota.

Laura Theona Suhr was born March 30, 1935, to parents Fred and Mary (Henricks) Suhr on their family farm at Page. She attended school from first to eighth grade at rural Beaver School. She and her sisters Irene and Carol helped their father work in the fields for many years. As Fred and Mary aged and were frail they became home bound and their daughters devoted their time to taking care of them until their passing. The sisters continued farming until the late 1980’s.

Each spring the “Suhr Sisters” would plant a large garden and always had extra vegetables to share with friends and relatives as well as canning many pickles for everyone. The sisters bought a few boats through the years and tried many fishing spots. They also enjoyed hunting deer and had a building where they processed the meat and helped others do the same.

Several motor homes were bought over the years for vacationing and they would travel through many states “to see the world”. They eventually decided to travel to places overseas which took them to parts of Germany where they met up with a few relatives.

Laura is survived by her two sisters, Irene Suhr and Carol Suhr both of Enderlin and several cousins.

The funeral service for Laura will be 2 pm Monday, December 5, 2022 at SMP Health-Maryhill. Visitation will be one hour before the service.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Oliver-Nathan Chapel, Valley City, North Dakota. An online guestbook is available at www.olivernathanchapel.com
