VALLEY CITY, ND  (NewsDakota.com)  Valley City ran into a young and hungry Fargo Davies Eagles lineup in Fargo Tuesday night, dropping a 39-32 decision in their second wrestling dual of the year.

Davies started the dual with three straight wins, two of them by fall, to take a 15-0 lead.  Valley City took a late 25-21 lead after Espen Kunze’s win at 160 pounds, but the top end of the lineup couldn’t hold the lead, as Davies would end the dual with a fall at 182 and a forfeit at heavyweight.

Both Koltyn and Koye Grebel, defending state champions, picked up wins, with Koye Grebel again moving up two weight classes to defeat second-ranked Wyatt Kosidowski at 145.

The Hi-Liners will wrestle in the highly-competitive Jamestown Knights of Columbus tournament this Saturday.
