SIOUX CITY, Iowa (jimmiepride.com)– Mason Walters (SR/Jamestown, ND) from the fifth-ranked University of Jamestown men’s basketball team has been named GPAC Player of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Walters averaged 30.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 2.7 blocks per game as the Jimmies went 3-0 for the week. He had 33 points, nine rebounds, and six assists in a 90-59 victory at Concordia (Neb.), ending the Bulldogs’ 23-game home winning streak. Walters followed that up with 27 points and nine rebounds in UJ’s 73-60 win over West Virginia Tech and had 32 points in 27 minutes as Jamestown defeated #15 William Jessup 74-66 at The Show in Kingsport, Tennessee.

Walters now has 1999 career points and 999 career rebounds as the Jimmies host Hastings (Neb.) on Friday and Doane (Neb.) on Saturday.
