JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – With fresh snow on the ground and colder temperatures here to stay, the Jamestown Parks & Recreation Department is offering a multitude of amenities for residents both inside and outside.

Indoors, the Two Rivers Activity Center (TRAC) will play host to the annual 3-on-3 basketball tournament Sunday, Nov. 20. Executive Director Amy Walters says this is held as a fundraiser for TRAC scholarships.

Other indoor offerings include the Grinch Grind Challenge Dec. 3, pictures with Santa Dec. 11, and plans for Cabin Fever Days Feb. 3-12.

Walters added that they’ve also set their next open skate to the public this weekend Nov. 19 & 20.

Walters added that Recreation Leagues are taking signups. These include volleyball, boys basketball, and adult basketball leagues.

If residents are more interested in outdoor activities, Walters says they are preparing everything from outdoor rinks and the bunker for sledding to the warming houses in the parks.

She says another change residents can expect is the cross country ski course moving to McElroy Park.

Ski rentals will also be moved to McElroy Park.
