JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – For 30 years, volunteers have dedicated a portion of their Thanksgiving to give back to the community.

The Concordia Lutheran Church is returning the annual community Thanksgiving meal through drive-thru and delivery options in Jamestown on Thanksgiving day, Nov. 24.

Amy Nuestel is a longtime organizer for the annual meal.

In the past, an in-house meal was provided along with meal delivery. After COVID-19, organizers made a decision to distribute meals in a drive-thru system instead. Nuestel says a lack of volunteers is a reason they’ll keep the drive-thru this year.

The free meal is open to all from 11 AM to 1 PM at Concordia Lutheran Church on Nov. 24. Nuestel says they welcome anyone who is looking for a meal to join them.

The meal consists of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn, cranberries, and pumpkin bars.

Drive-thru and delivery will begin at 11 AM and go until 1 PM. The church is located at 502 1st Ave N. To volunteer, scheduled meal delivery, or ask questions, contact Concordia Lutheran Church at 701-252-2819.
