(NDAgConnection.com) – For the week ending Sunday, there were 6.4 days suitable for fieldwork, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. Topsoil moisture supplies rated 26% very short, 45% short, 28% adequate, and 1% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 22% very short, 50% short, 27% adequate, and 1% surplus.

Winter wheat condition rated 2% very poor, 4% poor, 28% fair, 61% good, and 5% excellent. Winter wheat emerged was 95%, near 96% last year and 93% for the five-year average.

Corn harvested was 91%, ahead of 80% last year, and well ahead of 59% average.

Sunflowers harvested was 82%, ahead of 65% last year, and well ahead of 62% average.

Pasture and range conditions rated 4% very poor, 25% poor, 47% fair, 23% good, and 1% excellent.

Stock water supplies rated 12% very short, 40% short, 47% adequate, and 1% surplus.
