VALLEY CITY, ND  (NewsDakota.com)  The final night of Eastern Dakota Conference (EDC) volleyball was predictable, and set the table for the Hi-Liners play-in.

Valley City will travel to West Fargo Horace Saturday in the do-or-die scenario that is the play-in.  The winner advances to the quarterfinals on Tuesday, the loser will have their season come to a close.

Horace and Valley City met only once this year, with Horace sweeping the Hi-Liners, the first two sets being highly competitive.

The Hi-Liners moved into the ninth-place spot when Horace defeated Wahpeton last night, with Wahpeton, Grand Forks Central, and Valley City all finishing with four points in EDC play.  Valley City won the tiebreaker by beating Wahpeton 3-1 twice this year, and losing to Central 3-2 in their only meeting.

Game time is set for 1:00 PM, and the match will be heard on Thunder 98.3.
