JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Since 2018, Firm Foundations has been providing housing for those on their journey to recovery and sober living.

First started under Hope Manor in Bismarck, Debbie Loftsgard took over the reigns to provide housing for both men and women in Jamestown.

Loftsgard shared that she is also in recovery. She believes providing a safe haven of support is key to recovery from addiction.

More than 23 million people in the U.S. suffer from serious alcohol or drug problems and millions more are in pain because of a spouse, child, family member, or friend who needs help. Loftsgard says their goal while utilizing the 12-step process is creating a sense of comfort and security so residents can focus on their personal journey to recovery.

She stated that providing this assistance is a big part of the recovery process.

To raise money and support the local non-profit, Firm Foundations will be holding a fundraiser called “There’s An App For That” on Sunday, Nov. 6 at Hidden River Acres. The event will feature numerous appetizers from local businesses that will then be voted on to determine which is the best. There will be three speakers and raffles as well, all to raise money for Firm Foundations.

Early bird tickets are $15 and $20 at the door of the event from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

Loftsgard says all funds raised will support their organization, but there are other ways to help as well.

For more information, a ticket to the event, or to make a donation, visit firmfoundationssoberliving.org or call Debbie Loftsgard at 701-659-3207.
