ABERDEEN, S.D. (jimmiepride.com)– The University of Jamestown women’s basketball team held Presentation College to 29 percent shooting in a 75-34 victory Tuesday evening in non-conference action.
Tied at 13-13 after the first quarter, Jamestown outscored the Saints 62-21 over the final thirty minutes to improve their record to 2-0.
Kate Busek (SO/Fargo, ND) led the Jimmies with 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting, including 3-of-4 from three-point range. Busek also dished out a team-high six assists. Hannah DeMars (SR/Grand Rapids, MN) was also in double figures with 11 points for UJ, as all 13 players who played scored at least two points.
Hannah Hagel (SO/Carrington, ND) led Jamestown’s reserves with nine points. Reagan Johnson (FR/Volga, SD) and Megan Oswald (SO/Brownsdale, MN) each grabbed a game-high six rebounds.
The Jimmies shot 48 percent from the floor and were 8-of-20 from beyond the arc. Presentation turned the ball over 21 times, which led to a 24-0 UJ advantage in points off turnovers.
Jamestown (2-0) returns to action next Tuesday at Mayville State (N.D.) University.
