(NDAgConnection.com) – For the week ending Sunday, there were 5.9 days suitable for fieldwork, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. Topsoil moisture supplies rated 23% very short, 50% short, 26% adequate, and 1% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 21% very short, 47% short, 30% adequate, and 2% surplus.

Soybeans harvested was 99%, ahead of 94% last year and 82% for the five-year average.

Winter wheat condition rated 1% very poor, 2% poor, 30% fair, 60% good, and 7% excellent. Winter wheat emerged was 91%, near 93% last year and 89% average.

Corn harvested was 74%, ahead of 67% last year, and well ahead of 47% average.

Sunflower condition rated 2% very poor, 6% poor, 35% fair, 53% good, and 4% excellent. Sunflowers harvested was 62%, ahead of 50% last year and 49% average.

Flaxseed harvested was 99%, near 100% last year and 98% average.

Pasture and range conditions rated 2% very poor, 21% poor, 45% fair, 31% good, and 1% excellent.

Stock water supplies rated 13% very short, 42% short, 45% adequate, and 0% surplus.
