VALLEY CITY, ND  (NewsDakota.com)  Regular-season volleyball wraps up tonight for the Valley City Hi-Liners, as they travel to Devils Lake with a chance to move up in the final league standings.

With a win tonight, the Hi-Liners would catch Wahepton and Grand forks Central in a three-way tie for ninth place in the Eastern Dakota Conference (EDC).  Barring Central upsetting Fargo Davies and Wahepton upsetting West Fargo Horace, the Hi-Liners would win the three-way tie and finish ninth.

Play-in destinations for the Hi-Liners seem to be narrowed to Grand Forks Red River, West Fargo Horace, and Fargo Shanley.  The Deacons and Roughriders play tonight, and that matchup will add clarity to Saturday’s post-season start.

Valley City won the previous match with Devils Lake in a sweep, but that match was August 30, nearly an entire season ago.

Pregame coverage tonight on KOVC starts near 6:45 PM, and match time is scheduled for 7:15 PM
