JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown Theatre Department presents their production of the musical “Big Fish” Nov. 3, 4, and 5.

Mike McIntyre is the director of the theatre department.

Based on a book by John August, the musical follows the film adaptation done by Tim Burton in 2003. McIntyre says the musical features a bunch of fun numbers and fantastical ideas that the audience will enjoy.

He added the cast is comprised of a variety of students in different majors at the University of Jamestown.

Showtimes for the musical will be 7:30 PM each night at the Reiland Fine Arts Center. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased online at uj.edu, calling 701-252-3467, or visiting the Box Office in the Reiland Fine Arts Center.

McIntyre says they’re also offering their season pass at this time for their spring productions.

Future productions at the University of Jamestown include “Drinking Habits” Feb. 9, 10, and 11, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” April 13, 14, and 15, and “An Evening of One-Acts” April 27.
