MITCHELL, S.D. (jimmiepride.com)– The University of Jamestown women’s soccer team moved closer to a GPAC championship with a 3-0 win at Dakota Wesleyan University Wednesday evening.

Jamestown (12-4-1 overall, 11-0 GPAC) travels to Briar Cliff (Iowa) Saturday with the conference title on the line. A Jimmie win would complete an undefeated league schedule, while a Briar Cliff win would give the title to the Chargers.

Chloe Andrews (SO/Selah, Wash.), Briana Perry (SR/Las Vegas, Nev.), and Gaby Sarkis (SO/Campbelltown, Sydney, Australia) all scored for UJ, who extended their winning streak to 11 matches.

Andrews broke a 0-0 tie in the 33rd minute with an unassisted goal, her second tally in 2022, and in the 63rd minute the Jimmies doubled their lead. Perry notched her first of the season on a pass from Sarkis, her sixth assist on the year.

Sarkis extended her career-high goal total in the 79th minute with her ninth of the campaign, with an assist by Andrews.

Shots were 12-3 in favor of Jamestown, as were shots on goal (9-3).

Tea Pence (FR/Hamilton, Ohio) (two saves) and Anna Cole (FR/Laurel, Mont.) (one save) combined for UJ’s ninth clean sheet in 11 league matches.
