JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – With a busy 2022 almost in the books, the James Valley Pheasants Forever are turning their attention to their big banquet fundraiser on Oct. 28 at Club 1883.
Club member Ken McDougall says since 2010, they’ve completed various projects to enhance their conservation efforts in the James Valley area.
Other items supported by the James Valley Pheasants Forever group include three trapshooting teams, food plot seed to local landowners for wildlife, and more. McDougall says they had an extensive project they undertook at the Hansen Arts Park in the summer.
McDougall says they hope the work they’ve done will help increase awareness of the importance of these native species and support of the pollinators that are vital to our ecosystem.
He added the Precision Ag program and Meadowlark Imitative are other ways Pheasants Forever can help landowners.
To do this, the non-profit holds their annual fall banquet. McDougall says they’ll be at Club 1883 on Oct. 28 and welcome anyone interested in joining or supporting their continued efforts to join them.
Cost for tickets are $25, but vary for those who aren’t members of Pheasants Forever. McDougall says this helps fund the national organization with local funds staying here.
You can find more information on the James Valley Pheasants Forever Facebook page.
