SIOUX CITY, Iowa (jimmiepride.com)– Ellie Holen (JR/LaMoure, N.D.) from the University of Jamestown volleyball team has been named the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Defender of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Holen totaled 82 digs, an average of 6.83 per set, 82 in helping the second-ranked Jimmies to a 3-0 record last week. She also had seven assists and four service aces as UJ won road matches at Dordt (Iowa), Morningside (Iowa), and Northwestern (Iowa). It is the fifth time this season Holen has won the weekly award.

Jamestown (25-2, 12-1 GPAC) hosts No. 19 Dordt on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
