JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – Layna Hoffer earned All-State honors for the second time in her career over the weekend as Jamestown wrapped up its cross country season in the state meet at Parkhurst.

Hoffer’s time of 20:09 was good for 20th place in the girls’ race this weekend in Jamestown. The Blue Jays took 15th in the Class A meet as a team and Madison Rick placed 79th overall with a time of 21:33. Brooklyn Nygaard and Emma Flieth finished within six seconds of each other in 115th and 117th respectively.

In the boys’ race, Jamestown was led by Jack Schauer whose time of 17:49 was good for 55th place. Jamestown’s boys’ team took 14th overall and four of five runners finished in the top 85.

Williston repeated as state champions in both boys and girls for Class A. Jaelyn Ogle of Watford City took first in the girls’ race in Class A with a time of 18:15 and Brady Korsmo of Bismarck High was first in the boys’ race with a time of 15:28.
