Thompson would dominate the first half with Starcevic tossing and rushing for touchdowns early in the game. Thompson would ride a physical defensive effort into halftime having a 15-0 lead.

The second half would be a completely different game, however. The Tornadoes found pay dirt on their opening second half drive, and from there on it would be all F-5 Tornadoes. Oakes rattled off 34 unanswered points and followed a dominant Mario Garza performance into the next round of the playoffs.

Garza would have 129 yards on 15 carries for one touchdown and add on a 36 yards touchdown reception. Defensively he had one interception, 9 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and a sack.
