FOREST CITY, IA (NewsDakota.com)  Valley City State made the long road trip to Iowa sweet with a 35-14 win over previously-ranked Waldorf Saturday in Forest City, IA.

The Vikings rushed for 206 yards, with Justice Bice leading the way, tallying 116 yards rushing and 35 through the air on three catches, including a scoring catch, earning Ivy Real Estate Group Player of the Game honors.  The Vikings scored 21 unanswered points to start the second half, Bice’s catch the start of the run.

Noah Chambers three three touchdown passes and ran in a score before being knocked out of the game due to injury.  Third-stringer Erik Peterson added a touchdown run to finalize the scoring.

Jahidi West and Blake King came up with key interceptions on throws by Warriors quarterback Jordan Cooper, limiting Cooper to just 86 yards passing on the day.  He entered the day with 1591 passing yards in eight games.

The Vikings improve to 3-4 overall, 2-1 in North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) play.  They challenged Dickinson State on the road next week, still with a chance to share the conference championship.
