JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – More than 100 students on different teams will be going door-to-door on Sunday, Oct. 30 to collect food donations for local food pantries this fall.

The University of Jamestown Student Senate has held their Trick-or-Can event each year. Community Outreach Committee Chair Josiah Penn says they’ve had a lot of success and are looking forward to going back out to help the community.

Penn adds they get students involved by inviting teams, clubs, and more to participate.

All food donations collected will be given to the Community Action Region VI food pantry in Jamestown.

Penn says residents can be prepared to donate food by gathering their collections and being home after 2 PM on Oct. 30.

If you have questions or wish to help with the food drive, you can contact Josiah Penn at Josiah.Penn@uj.edu.
