VALLEY CITY, ND (NewsDakota.com)  Next weekend will see the open of the VCSU Viking basketball seasons.

The Viking men entertain Northwestern College Friday, October 28th.  The Viking women open the next day, hosting Providence College.

Last season, the Vikings finished third in the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) regular season, and advanced to the league’s tournament semifinals, falling to Bellevue.  Bellevue also defeated the Viking women, but in an upset in the tournament’s quarterfinals.

The weekend will be a doubleheader for both teams.  The men will host Dordt Saturday after the Viking women open their season.  The women will play Providence twice on the weekend, the second game on Sunday, October 30th.
